Benridge is located in an ideal position within Southport on Queens Road; only minutes away from local amenities, Hesketh Park, and a short walk away from the town centre, train station and the famous shopping area of Lord Street and the sea front.

Good Companions

Good Companions is our second home, which we opened in 2011, and since then it has been fully renovated and beautifully refurbished with all rooms having en-suite bathrooms. It houses our friendly Day Care Centre where we offer a range of activities and the very best in Dementia Care.

Good Companions is situated on Roe Lane, which is only a short walk to the beautiful Botanic Gardens and close to historic Churchtown Village, and yet only a short bus ride to the town centre.

The Role

At Benridge and Good Companions, we are searching for a new ‘Floating’ Team Leader. As a Floating Team Leader you will be leading your team of Healthcare Assistants across both homes in Southport, ensuring all members of your team are providing person centred care to all residents. Potential to progress to a ‘Floating’ Deputy Manager.

In this role you will be:

  • Responsible for the day to day routine of your Care Team, which will involve direction setting and delegation
  • Respecting the resident’s dignity and privacy at all times
  • Ensuring that each individual’s right to independence and choice are met
  • Keeping accurate care and medical records
  • Instilling a positive work environment
  • Mentoring your Care Team and carrying out observations during their day to day tasks
  • Conducting Supervisions / Appraisals and promoting Career Development within your Care Team
  • Liaising with multi disciplinary teams to achieve the relevant care for each resident
  • Forming professional relationships with families / advocates to keep them informed at all times
  • Ensuring that there are open and effective channels of communication / information to and from your Care / Management Team
  • Maintaining a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors according to all safety requirements
  • Required to work alongside the Care Manager in undertaking a variety of administrative tasks to include: assessing Mental Capacity, applying for Liberty of Protection Safeguards and be involved with Safeguard investigations

Qualifications & Experience

For this role it is essential that you:

  • Hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Have the relevant medication administrative experience
  • Have relevant care home experience
  • Have Managerial experience

Conditions apply

*Pay will be determined on age, experience and qualifications. Your hourly rate will be reviewed again on the successful completion of your 6 month probationary period.

**Payable on completion of a successful 6 month probation. The employee that made the referral must also remain employed by us, in order to be eligible for the £50 Bonus.
