Asmall Hall is located on Asmall Lane on the outskirts of Ormskirk. It is a beautiful 17th Century Manor House, set in acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, giving the feeling of tranquility and peacefulness. Only 5 minutes from Ormskirk town centre and 15 minutes from Southport.

Since the change of ownership, late 2016, Asmall Hall is in the process of being fully refurbished, providing a refreshing and revitalised environment for our residents and employees. Our dedicated team of care professionals have been focusing on bringing the level of care up to the high standards expected of the Group.

The Role

At Asmall Hall, we are searching for a new Laundry Assistant / Health Care Assistant - Nights, to join our team. You will be working as part of a team to ensure the residents garments are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard. This position also allows the opportunity to progress as a Health Care Assistant, as you will also support residents to bed and when they arise in the morning. Should there be holidays or absences to cover, you may be asked to support the team as a Night Health Care Assistant.

In this role you will be:

  • Adhering to all cleaning schedules and the colour-coded equipment system
  • Respectful of resident’s personal information - always maintaining confidentiality
  • Complying with all relevant statutory and legal requirements 
  • (When working in laundry): ensuring that all resident’s laundry is cleaned, ironed and returned to the correct room
  • (When working as a Health Care Assistant): providing assistance, personal care and companionship to residents
  • Taking an active role in identifying the changing needs of our clients and realising the importance of maintaining accurate documentation

Your Skills

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be willing to work towards NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Be a team player
  • Have good communication and literacy skills
  • Be organised and able to prioritise their workload 
  • Have the ability to use initiative 
  • Have a keen eye for attention to detail

Qualifications 

None required, but increased rate of pay if you hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Experience within the care sector is preferred but not essential.

Conditions apply

*Pay will be determined on minimum wage for your age, experience and qualifications. Your hourly rate will be reviewed again on the successful completion of your 6 month probationary period.

**Payable on completion of a successful 6 month probation. The employee that made the referral must also remain employed by us, in order to be eligible for the £50 Bonus.
